Ubud Cycling Tour
Cycling trip around Ubud brings us to see the other side of Bali society and nature with wonderful environment. Ubud is well known for Balinese artisans. The other corner is also best for the stunning view to the valley, hills or to the river. We should come closer to this combination.
Starting in the morning for adventure of biking, we will take an easy cycling trip. Ubud art market is the starting point. We keep going on riding a MTB bike along the main road of Ubud. A familiar traffic for tourism area in Bali is an exciting road to observe Balinese and visitor from abroad. At the following zone is inner Ubud area. Here is the Ubud villager to do their daily life. Smilling Balinese kids who goes to school with their uniform. People around the village who do offering to God. And many more to see.
Trekking on Mount Agung
Mount Agung is one of holy place in Bali. Mount Agung or Gunung Agung is also a highest sacred mountain in Bali even as the highest point on the island. Mount Agung is Known as strato active volcano which influences the climate in Bali. The interesting part of each area of the mount is clearly seen on the west part comparing to the east part. The west area is green and fertilized field. However, the east is dry and barren field. Climbing up this mount has special time.
In a bright day, the peak of Mount Rinjani on the island of Lombok appears clearly from the peak of the Mount Agung .
The last eruption was in 1963-64. Many villages were destroyed in this eruption.
Over 1,000 people were killed.
Climbing up the Mountain as unique adventure
Starting point from Besakih. Climber will start at about 1100 meters above sea level. It will reach a higher peak of the mount. It takes about 4,5 hours to get the top.
Starting point from Pura Pasar Agung, on the southern slope of the mountain, near Selat and which is reputed to take 4 hours.
